The NCH London Essay Competition is open to students who are currently in their penultimate (second to last) year of secondary education, year 12, and who are interested in studying humanities or social sciences at university. This is a global competition, so we encourage entries from those studying anywhere in the world.
The College’s two annual essay prizes offer undergraduates and Foundation doctors the chance to take an in-depth look at a particular aspect of pathology through a written piece. The winning entry in each category will be published on the RCPath website and the writers of the winning essays will be rewarded with a certificate and cash prize, presented at an RCPath event.
Instructions for entrants and essay questions are provided for the Kelvin, Thomas Campion and Vellacott prizes on the lefthand side as attachments. There is also an FAQ page for entrants and their teachers, as well as a guide for teachers on how to use our online system to run an internal competition within school and how to approve or modify essays.
The Philosophy Essay Prize is open to Year 12 or Lower 6th students. The aim of the Prize is to encourage able sixth formers to pursue their interest in Philosophy, with the hope that they will be encouraged to read this or related subjects at University.
ARDL Marion Simmons QC Essay Competition. Annual essay competition from the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers. Students (undergraduates and postgraduates, trainee solicitors and pupil barristers) are asked to write no more than 3000 words on a topic.
What essay competitions are available for people the age of 17 and still at school? I am particularly looking for essay competitions relating to law but any will do - English, Economics, Business, Music, History, Modern Studies, Philosophy or Science.
